Indian!

So tasty....
I helped make 3 dishes with a partner (or two) - Samosas, Tandoori Chicken and Indian Green Beans. It was another totally hectic class, but one of the best meals.

S'mores Pie

I have always wanted to try this pie. I love S'Mores by the campfire- nothing can beat that. BUT this is a close second to get all those flavors, in a slightly more civilized (read: less sticky) manner.
I made this to bring to a Super Bowl party, and I think it turned out great! I was pleased with its flavor and consistency. And by the end, there was nothing left- which means others enjoyed it too.
Side note- I FINALLY got to use my kitchen torch! Woo-hoo! And I like burned, crispy marshmallow, so the browned/bubbled spots actually are intended.
Another side note- I totally failed at making the marshmallow at first. But I tried again, and it turned out just fine. Making marshmallow is harder than it looks.
Yikes

Chinese/Japanese

Everyone in my class is so talented! We made Chinese and Japanese food yesterday, and each dish turned out so delicious. I made Gyoza. Pretty easy actually, just a little time consuming assembling each single gyoza. My frying/steaming technique could use some practice, but not a difficult thing, just need to practice to feel more confident.
